The deployment of the Infor Visual enterprise information system supports the growth of C.I.C. Jan Hřebec since the turn of the millennium. In 2003, it crossed the threshold of a medium-sized company. Orders increased, new employees joined the company, and the operative method of management was no longer enough.
Therefore, the management of the company decided how to ensure an overview of basic agendas, especially in production and subsequent processes. The growth of the company and the increase in the volume of orders brought new challenges, especially in the field of planning.
Solution
The company C.I.C. Jan Hřebec chose the Infor Visual enterprise information system for the management needs of a manufacturing company in 2003 for its unique features in the area of TPV data preparation, planning and production management. Emphasis was also placed on accounting and finance solutions and their connection with logistics and production processes.
In addition to implementing standard system functions, Seyfor consultants also connected Infor Visual with the configurator of air conditioning units. Thanks to this connection, configured parts lists of air conditioning units are directly imported into production orders without the need for manual editing.
Important milestones included the deployment of the Executive Planning and Scheduling (APS) module, which allows production to follow a precise production schedule. The dates of more than 1,500 production operations in work-in-progress and 6,000 material requests are updated daily.
Material reconciliation was optimized by integration to the WMS system, where warehouse movements using mobile terminals are automatically and online recorded in Infor Visual. Similarly, the deployment of barcodes has proven successful in manufacturing, significantly reducing operator errors and enabling real-time monitoring of work.
Result
The implementation of the Infor Visual information system helped to establish order. All key data is now correctly recorded in the system, and the company's management has thus received accurate information for management. The deployment of the executive planning and scheduling module helped organize production much better.
Planning takes place on a daily basis and thanks to this, bottlenecks in production can be managed and possible slippages of orders can be eliminated before they actually occur. Thanks to the long-term use of the Infor Visual system, the company has a consolidated database that allows analyzing not only the current situation, but also long-term changes and trends in the market and in the life of the company.
The company's management thus has a tool in its hands that has confirmed that it can not only grow with the company, but above all effectively assist in its management.
