Key requirement
A significant increase in the production and application of modern business process management methods required a radical strengthening and reconfiguration of the information system so that it best corresponds to the new model of business process management. Traditionally, the management of TATRA TRUCKS placed emphasis on meeting the time schedule and the planned budget of the project. The key requirement was for the shortest possible system downtime during the start-up of the new solution, with minimal impact on the fulfillment of the production plan.
Solution
TATRA has been cooperating with Seyfor since 1998. The start-up of the new version of the system went into full operation exactly as planned. The implementation of the Infor LN corporate information system was preceded by a detailed analysis, which was primarily focused on the use of innovative functions and their deployment with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the company's functioning.
Much attention was paid in particular to the optimization of business processes, the automation of invoice processing and integration with other systems (stockpiling warehouses, electronic communication with suppliers, shipment support, connection to CAD).
Result
The new version of the Infor LN corporate information system enabled the deployment of other important information technologies, in particular the introduction of a complex workflow across business processes, the introduction of an advanced DMS and the deployment of the modern Seyfor Mobility mobile application for online inventory of warehouse transactions. Workflow is mainly used in the automation of invoice processing, from their registration to approval and storage in the system, including electronic form in DMS.
The use of modern Infor OS integration tools has simplified the connection to other subsystems and will make it possible to significantly simplify the management of data interfaces in the future.
The introduction of Seyfor Mobility helped to improve work in warehouses with better use of mobile terminals. The new solution fundamentally improves the work of users, speeds up and makes the transfer of information important for business management more accurate. Users are no longer dependent on installing a local client application on their workstation. They now access the system via a web browser and can use the information system on any device and from anywhere they have an Internet connection.
The upgrade of the information system was a decisive step for TATRA TRUCKS on the way to a modern and efficiently managed company. Production in the company is growing, and the Infor LN information system provides it with the necessary support today.
