Key requirement
PBS Turbo needed to modernize and optimize its business processes to shorten production cycles, increase production capacities and respond more efficiently to individual customer requirements.
In addition to the development and production of turbochargers, the company also provides complete service for the entire lifetime of the turbochargers in operation.
It was therefore necessary to implement a robust ERP system that can meet production, development and service requirements.
Solution
This system became the Infor VISUAL ERP system for the PBS Turbo company in 2005. The implementation also included integration with the parent company's information systems, for example with the BEER economic report and the VoKUs controlling system.
In 2008, the company started optimizing production and its management to increase production capacity and reduce production time. During the following years, the Infor ERP system was gradually upgraded to higher versions, which also included the modernization of the operating system and the database server.
In 2022, the next phase of digitization of production was started, which led to the implementation of a two-way interface between Infor VISUAL and the MES system.
Result
Thanks to the Infor VISUAL system, PBS Turbo managed to triple the production of turbochargers, significantly shorten production cycles and speed up individual deliveries to customers, including those with individual
requirements.
The production of spare parts was also reduced, which increased the efficiency of service interventions, which are carried out through authorized service partners.
In the future, PBS Turbo plans to further deepen the digitization of its processes, for example by introducing a WMS system for warehouses of materials and semi-finished products.
