Key requirement
The DAIDO METAL holding group began expanding its activities in Europe in 2004. The result of this effort was a new production plant completed in 2005 in the Czech Republic in the Brno industrial zone.
Since then, production in Daid in Brno has continued to grow, and the company has significantly expanded its production facilities here in recent years. An expanding manufacturing company required a state-of-the-art enterprise information system.
Solution
DAIDO METAL CZECH has been using the Infor LN business information system to manage its business processes since 2005. The core functions of the system were already implemented concurrently with the construction of the Brno plant, which enabled the immediate start of operations together with the start of production.
The Infor LN solution was later deployed by Seyfor in cooperation with the Japanese company HITACHI in other plants of the DAIDO METAL Group in Great Britain and Germany. The Infor LN system was chosen for its readiness for global deployment, including the support of multiple languages and the existence of Infor regional offices or partners in all countries where DAIDO METAL Group branches are located.
Elaborate support of production operations was also significant. Furthermore, it was necessary for the system to support specific functions needed by companies that are suppliers to the automotive industry (lots, recalls, EDI, barcode and others).
Result
By deploying the Infor LN system, the DAIDO METAL CZECH company significantly clarified its management processes and, through a customized solution implemented by Seyfor consultants, introduced digital communication with business partners and the European headquarters of DAIDO METAL.
Seyfor's support and monitoring of system operation ensures the use of Infor LN with a minimum number of unexpected shutdowns and thus also provides protection against production interruptions and risks of financial losses. The unification of information systems in DAIDO's European plants has simplified mutual communication.
